Why Beautytech.INFO?
As beauty professionals who spend much of our free time networking with others in the industry, recently we became very concerned about the piles of mis-information being fed to you; online, on your local TV and in your newspapers. We become alarmed and dismayed when you tell us that nail services were painful, that you received a cut and maybe even got an infection from poorly trained "professionals". It really bothers us A LOT when we hear some shops charge extra for "special gel nails", when you really got acrylic nails with a gel top coat. It makes us crazy when you tell us you paid for a "Shellac" (TM CND.com) service when you received something else. It absolutely drives us MAD when you tell us your last technician ripped, forced or pried the enhancements from your nails making you bleed, telling you "don't be a baby, it doesn't hurt that bad". We shudder in disbelief when you tell us about the lack of basic sanitation in the salon you have been patronizing.
Right after discussing technique and product lines, these topics and much more are the majority of our networking discussions. The next natural step was for us to, as professionals, with oodles of years of experience, help you, the consumer of beauty services, know the real truth.
It is important to know that it is not always all about the money or the price in the window. You saved nothing when you tally in the Doctor, medication and medial test bills when you get an infection. Consumers should know what they are paying for, what they are getting and the risks, if any, involved with services in the beauty industry.
Do not take it for granted that anyone running a beauty service business is running a PROFESSIONAL beauty business! Just because you go in and the lights are on and it looks OK, you need to know the real truth and that is why we are here.
